swaptree
look at what i stumbled on today: it’s called swaptree.
it’s really simple: you make a list of things you want to get rid of - books, movies, cd’s, games -and make a list of those that you want to have. if you’re lucky, you can make a trade.
the site is still relatively new, but it’s inventory is growing. no, i haven’t signed up yet, but i will eventually. i won’t be able to afford sending stuff and swapping for free with someone in the states. that’s waaaay far from being free. swapping with someone in the philippines is more practical. but, hey, the only way to find out if there are members in the country is to sign up, right?
will update you guys on it. i’ve got tons of pocketbooks i have "inherited" from whomever that i haven’t read, mainly because i’m not a, say, a sidney sheldon, etc reader.
by the way, it’s still limited to books, cd’s, movies and games. no electronic gear nor hot wheels yet. (dang!!!) i would really have to learn ebay now so i could sell this crummy laptop…
take the tour and if you like it, maybe we can swap stuff!
