they say a storm is brewing, but…
i woke up at 5:30am with the sudden urge to jog. it seems crazy, considering that there is that typhoon looming over luzon. however, if chedeng and dodong has taught me anything since last week, it’s believing it wouldn’t rain and that the sun would shine.
it did.

it occurred to me that this is the first time i would be jogging in 2 years! and it was the first time i jogged with music. i looooove old school janet jackson in the morning! woke me up, got me going and going and going…

my usual "classmates" from 2years ago were nowhere. there were a couple of lady posers in fuschia sweats (are they together?), a bunch of strong college students, and a tall guy in his 50’s. i’m beginning to miss the 70+ lolo jogging while punching nothingness.

so now, a couple of hours after (and some hot pandesal), i’m online checking mail and news.
quentin tarantino taking a pedicab is flooding search engines. and it’s the same piece whether it’s yahoo canada, cbs, palmbeachpost. i find it amusing that someone as big as tarantino is up for experiencing culture. he had fun. speaks a lot about what he’s made of.

speaking of quentin (yeah, we’re on a first name basis), while it amazes me that he knows & admires eddie romero and cirio santiago, it amazes me even more to learn that he watched philippine movies since he was uhugin. i feel closer to him already.

it’s starting to rain now.
kids have no classes. my tween cousins have invaded our space. so to entertain them, we put on a movie and laughed non-stop! laughter is quite contagious.
i’m adding that now to my list of things to do on rainy days.

i’ve been listening to hit fm online. ramon bautista, tado, and angel are having their own show there starting on mon, aug20. even just listening for ad promos for the show is already hilarious! hehe! in true filipino "accent", ramon introduces himself, then introduces "my friend tado. he has no job. but don’t pity him…." then introduces angel so that there will be a girl in a sando. in another ad, angel speaks in chavacano. ramon & tado talk in the background, thinking angel is drunk because they don’t understand a word. angel continues to speak, prompting the two to agree to "wait until she passes out…(laughs in an idiotic/maniacal way). look! she’s wearing a sando!…" and schemes on doing something with water and sando… but wait! there is a third ad dat i haven’t heard of. it is about tado. he is the one speaking in front. i think i will wait for that. so now, i am going to continue to listen to hit fm on eradioportal.com. i will leave my blog now. don’t forget to leave comment. i thank you.
