resto

i had this idea when i was reviewing for the boards. it’s a concept for a pastry/cake shop. i was initially just joking about it because it was something i found funny while i was reviewing pathology, ob-gyne, medicine, pedia, and surgery. the menu grew slowly that i had filled 4 pages of my notebook. however, the way people are reacting, it seems like it’s a crazy idea that it just might work. i ain’t discussing that here. someone might have the moolah to put it up before i do.

i set the idea aside since i can’t make that investment now, but that idea popped up in my mind again and from it i got another idea - a resto. i’ve always wanted a pasta house, then maybe a vegetarian resto, but here’s another concept: how about a restaurant that caters to diabetics and hypertensives? it’s gonna be based on vegan/ovo-lacto recipes (maybe) since those are yummy enough and can fool meat-eaters with its presentation and taste. diabetic and hypertensive diet shouldn’t be a sacrifice, like vegetarianism. i’ve been trying to build a menu for my diabetic/hypertensive non-compliant dad since last year. and although he’s not spending much of his days at home, it has never stopped me from researching more on these diets (cause i’m no nutritionist).

what other concepts for a restaurant would be innovative and cool?

  1. I had the same idea when I was back home in LB simply because it’s so frustrating that most of the food are greasy and potential killer also I had high triglyceride. Why don’t you pursue your idea. I still have some of my cafe equipments stored in LB.

  2. really? if we’re talking cafe equipment, then i think the pastry/cake shop should have a go first…?
