batman begins
Why I don’t buy the previous Batman movies as much as this!
Yaaay! I saw the new Batman movie last night!
Even by just viewing the first few seconds of the trailer, you know that this is the best Batman movie by far!
1. Direction was well done; Story was very well written and it was believable; it made Bruce/Batman more human; Cinematography was great… yada, yada, yada…
2. This is the coolest Batmobile ever!… and thank God they never referred to it as the (dorky) Batmobile!!!
3. Since this was an explanation as to how everything began, it is expected that it would take time to narrate Batman’s origin.
- How and why he chose a symbol ("As a symbol, I can be incorruptible.") Wayne probably couldn’t be as competent.
- The billionaire playboy persona was clearly a front. I don’t buy that Batman would be intuitive and individualistic, but his alter-ego would be cavorting as a playboy.
- Initially using a scientist from his Applied Science wing was convincing, rather than the alternative (Alfred?!).
- I always thought it was so uncanny that Gotham City seems to be psychotic central. At least it makes sense now as to why.
4. Speaking of Alfred, Caine’s is the best Alfred. I always envisioned the manservant to be just like that – a father figure with a mind of his own and not pushed around by Bruce.
5. Bale is also the most credible and in-depth Bruce/Batman. We see his character evolve from a coward to hero.
6. No Holy Robin!!
I can only come up with 6, so there!
I’m no movie critic, so if you want a more credible one, here ya go!
